Commands We Commonly Use

Implied Stay

Every single command we give your pup is an implied stay, meaning they cannot leave that command until they are permitted to by being given a release word, which could be “break,” “release,” “okay,” or anything you desire!

Place

This is where we teach your dog to put all four paws on an object, and stay on that object until they are released using one of the commonly used release words! This command is great for building your dog’s confidence.

Come

We will work on having consistent short and long recall for your dog. This is extremely important for keeping your dog safe and happy in their life!

Heel

Teaching your dog to walk in a set position by your side, this command is useful for on-leash walks and off-leash walks, as well as building that owner and dog relationship!

Sit

Our “sit” command is just like your classic sit. The first command most every dog learns, and one of the easiest to regulate your dogs emotions when they need it. This command is especially useful if your dog is in a situation where they are feeling overstimulated and they need a quick break.

Off

We use “off” as a way to tell your dog to stop what they are currently doing, or to stop undesired behaviors. This includes, but is not limited to, barking, chewing, nipping, jumping, and more.

Down

We will teach your dog to lay down on command. This command builds their confidence and is helpful when you need them to feel safe and well-rested.

Who We Are

When Raemond Lessinger first embarked on his journey to train a therapy dog for an elementary school, little did he know it would pave the way for him to fulfill his lifelong dream. After witnessing the profound impact his therapy dog had on the children, Raemond fell in love with the art of training dogs. This life-changing experience, coupled with his deep love for animals, led him to establish Canine Command Dog Training.

At Canine Command, our approach to training is centered around a balanced training style tailored to our clients' goals and needs. We understand that each dog is unique, requiring a personalized approach to reach their full potential. With a profound belief in the power of building a strong bond between humans and dogs, we work tirelessly to strengthen this connection through our training methods.
While our love for animals is at the core of what we do, our specialization lies in service and therapy dog training. We recognize the tremendous impact that these specially trained dogs can have on individuals in need and society as a whole. Whether it is guiding the visually impaired, providing emotional support, or assisting with various daily tasks, service and therapy dogs hold an invaluable role in enhancing the lives of those they serve.

But it's not just about technical training; it's about fostering a loving and trusting relationship between humans and dogs. We believe that a strong bond built on patience, respect, and clear communication is the key to successful training. Our trainers work closely with both the dog and the owner, guiding them throughout the training journey and addressing any concerns or challenges that may arise along the way.

At Canine Command, we understand the importance of education and ongoing support.
